The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has formally approved a comprehensive upgrade of Qutab Golf Course, setting the stage for one of the most significant modernisation projects in the courseās history. The redevelopment aims to enrich the overall golfing and club experience through new amenities, improved infrastructure, and enhanced comfort for members and visitors.
As part of the approved plan, a new multipurpose hall and upgraded changing room facilities will be constructed within the existing clubhouse building. The project also introduces a leisure swimming pool with a tensile canopy, along with an elevated terrace seating area featuring a pergolaādesigned to create a more refined social and recreational environment. Internal electrical systems across the property will be modernised to improve illumination and overall aesthetics. Officials have indicated a targeted completion window of 270 days.
āWe will also add guestrooms and accessible toilets. The process for hiring an expert agency through tender has already been initiated,ā an official confirmed. The total redevelopment cost is estimated at INR 9.4 crore.
Infrastructure improvements extend to water supply, drainage and sewerage systems, including the installation of new sanitary fittings. All work will adhere to CPWD specifications, with corrosion-resistant measures in place to ensure long-term durability.
Qutab Golf Course currently features an 18-hole layout, a heritage clubhouse, and a 250-yard, 28-bay, double-decker driving rangeāone of Delhiās most popular public golfing venues. The night-lit range includes 14 bays on each level, an artificial turf putting green, a pro shop, a golf simulator room, and a cafĆ© for golfers.
The revamp follows the recent introduction of a full-service gymnasium at the course, opened to the public five months ago with annual memberships. The gym accommodates 200 members, who may bring up to five guests per visit at a nominal fee. Members also receive access to restaurant and bar facilities, the golf course on a pay-and-play basis, and the option to reserve party venues under the āothersā category.
Membership at Qutab remains highly sought after. Current fees for government employees are INR 1,94,700 for three years and INR 3,24,500 for five years, while non-government memberships are priced at INR 5,84,100 for three years and INR 9,73,500 for five years. DDA has also revised several charges from June 1, including green fee, entry fee, booking fee, display fee, and golf cart rental rates.
With this extensive redevelopment initiative, Qutab Golf Course is poised to evolve into a more modern, multi-facility destinationāstrengthening its reputation as one of Delhiās premier golfing and recreational spaces.
